Job Description:

As a Modernization Sales professional, you will be responsible for proactively soliciting and responding to modernization bid requests, working closely with general contractors, consultants, property managers, owners, and Star Elevator Operations to successfully survey, estimate, propose, and win projects. You will use your extensive knowledge and experience in the elevator industry to lead the sales process and generate new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively solicit and respond to modernization bid requests

  • Work with general contractors, consultants, property managers, owners, and Star Elevator Operations to successfully survey, estimate, propose, and win projects

  • Identify potential clients and decision-makers, and develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess customer needs and identify opportunities for modernization

  • Develop and present proposals to customers, including recommendations for equipment upgrades, replacements, and modernization solutions

  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to close, including negotiating contracts and pricing

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project management, engineering, and operations, to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, including customer interactions, proposals, and contracts

  • Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of elevator sales or elevator industry experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred

  • Strong sales and business development skills, with a proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with a deep understanding of elevator systems and components

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software applications

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $175,000, based on experience. Compensation may be more or less than the posted range based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental health insurance, profit sharing and 401k plan, and paid time off.
